El passat dia 4 de marc una trentena de residents del PRBB van participar en el PRBB Breakfast sobre l’Open Day 2010 i van aportar les seves idees per a realitzar activitats relacionades amb la Diversitat Genètica, tema central d’aquest Open Day.
Una de les novetats és que el centre Hangar per a la producció i investigació artística, està interessat en col·laborar per a realitzar una instal·lació multimedia sobre la temática de la diversitat genètica humana. Hangar, ubicat en un edifici de 1.800 m2 al Poblenou, està gestionat per l’Associació d’Artistes Visuals de Catalunya (AAVC) i dona suport a creadors i artistes en les seves produccions.
A la reunió van sorgir moltes idees noves que poden donar contingut a tallers, experiments, cafè científic, exposició o muntatge audiovisual: explicar variabilitat genètica des del punt de vista de l’aleatorietat matemàtica, bingo genètic, sequenciar ADN i descobrir mutacions amb paper i tisores, tallers interactius de teatre i també petits espectacles teatrals (amb la Companyia PeRaBaBaus), mostrar l’aplicació clínica de la variabilitat genètica, diagnòstics genètics, exposició de fotografies...
Ara cal ja elaborar un projecte que ens permeti sol·licitar subvencions i començar a treballar per que l’Open Day 2010 sigui un èxit. Per això durant els propers dies s’aniran convocant reunions per grups de treball. Great ideas at the PRBB breakfast for the 2010 Open Day
On March 4, about 30 PRBB residents attended the PRBB breakfast on the 2010 Open Day and brought their ideas for activities related to genetic diversity, the central theme of this Open Day.
One of the novelties of this year is that the Hangar center for artistic production and research is interested in collaborating to perform a multimedia installation on the theme of human genetic diversity. Hangar, located in a building of 1,800 m2 in Poblenou is managed by the Association of Visual Artists of Catalonia (AAVC) and supports inventors and artists in their productions.
Many new ideas were proposed at the meeting that can give content to workshops, experiments, scientific café, exhibition or audiovisual: explain genetic variability from the point of view of mathematical randomness, a genetic bingo, DNA sequencing and mutation discovering with paper and scissors, interactive workshops and small theater shows (with the Company PeRaBaBaus), showing the clinical application of genetic variability, genetic diagnostics, photo exhibit ...
Now we must develop a project that allows us to apply for grants and to start working to make the 2010 the Open Day a success. So in the coming days will be organising some meetings by working groups.
